The main objective of the branch is to provide patients at the hospital where it operates with the services offered by the "Voluntariado Jesús con los Niños" at its main headquarters. It aligns with our mission of humanizing healthcare services for a better quality of life.

The branch maintains direct contact with the main headquarters to refer patients who require specialized care not available locally and provides proper follow-up to the referred cases.

To support its assistance programs, this group organizes its activities for fundraising.

It began its activities in March 2008 at the Ricardo Limardo Hospital under the direction of Mrs. Ana María Brugal. It has a group of individuals who have continued the valuable volunteer work they have been providing over the years.

THE KANGAROO MOTHER CARE PROGRAM

"Voluntariado Jesús con los Niños," in its Puerto Plata branch, in collaboration with UNICEF and the National Health Service, implemented the Kangaroo Mother Care program at the Ricardo Limardo Hospital. The program aims to benefit premature babies requiring special recovery care.

The babies complete their cycle with the support of families and a team of professionals specialized in the necessary care.

The program started with 30 babies, with the first patient being a newborn weighing 3.5 pounds, highlighting the importance and need for this type of care.
